More Than 100 PPCBank Marathon Runners Celebrate Queen’s Birthday

Phnom Penh – More than 100 runners from PPCBank participated in Sunday’s 11th Phnom Penh International Half Marathon. The event started and finished in front of the Royal Palace in honor of the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk.

The 11th Phnom Penh Half Marathon offered four different race lengths: 2.5kms; 5kms; 10kms and 21kms, with the first race starting at 5.30am. PPCBank’s staff took part in the 5 kilometer event, to not only celebrate Her Majesty’s upcoming 87th birthday, but also to promote health and wellness, as well as to build team spirit and encourage everyone in the PPCBank family to start exercising.

By joining the 4,000 participants in this year’s event, the PPCBank management and staff who chose to run benefited from the camaraderie and fun along the race route.

PPCBank’s participation in the 11th Phnom Penh Half Marathon also contributed to the funds that were raised on the day for Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals and the Green City Campaign.
