Published Date: May 12, 2026

PPCBank has reaffirmed its commitment to community development and education by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Raksa Koma Organization to support the construction of sanitary bathroom facilities at North Chambok Primary School in Kampong Thom province.

The initiative is part of the bank’s ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, aimed at improving learning conditions for children in rural communities. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Lee Jin Young, President of PPCBank, and Ms. Sok Vanseka, Executive Director of Raksa Koma Organization, highlighting a shared commitment to enhancing the well-being of Cambodia’s next generation.

Under the project, new sanitation facilities will be constructed to meet the students’ needs, with additional features to support proper hygiene standards.

Beyond addressing infrastructure gaps, the initiative seeks to promote better hygiene practices, support student welfare and create a safe and dignified environment for learning. Access to proper sanitation remains a critical challenge in many rural schools, often affecting attendance, health and overall educational outcomes.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Lee Jin Young emphasised the broader vision behind the project.

“The core purpose of this MoU extends beyond the construction of sanitation facilities. PPCBank is firmly committed to contributing to the advancement of the education sector, in line with our guiding principle: ‘Shaping Cambodia’s Future Through Education’,” he said.

“We strongly believe that education is a fundamental driver of sustainable development. By improving access to quality education, we can drive positive change across all sectors in Cambodia,” he added.

The partnership reflects PPCBank’s belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow without barriers related to health or basic hygiene. By improving school facilities, the Bank aims to help create an environment where students can focus on their education and reach their full potential.

Ms. Sok Vanseka also welcomed the collaboration, noting its significance for rural communities.

“This partnership represents a meaningful investment in the health, dignity, and future of our children. Access to proper sanitation is essential for creating a safe learning environment, especially for young students in rural areas. We are proud to work alongside PPCBank to bring lasting improvements that will benefit not only the students of North Chambok Primary School but also the wider community for years to come,” she said.

PPCBank views CSR as more than a responsibility – it is an opportunity to create lasting, positive impact. Through this project, the Bank not only contributes to improving sanitation infrastructure but also demonstrates the importance of collaboration in driving sustainable development in underserved areas.

The initiative also aligns with broader efforts to enhance educational infrastructure across Cambodia, ensuring that children – regardless of location – have access to safe and supportive learning environments.

Looking ahead, PPCBank remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower Cambodian children to grow, thrive and contribute to the nation’s future. Through partnerships like this, the bank continues to bring meaningful change to communities in need, reinforcing its mission to help shape a brighter future through education.
