Phnom Penh, May 17, 2024 – PPCBank, one of Cambodia’s leading commercial banks, has launched its new CSS Debit Card, enabling customers to use their PPCBank CSS Debit Card at any participating bank’s ATMs and Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals. CSS, which stands for Cambodian Shared Switch, is an interbank payment system under the authority of the National Bank of Cambodia. Essentially, any CSS cardholder can use their bank card at any other bank’s ATM or POS terminals, for a minimal fee, as long as that bank is a member of the CSS.
PPCBank Introduces CSS Debit Card For Easy Interbank Transactions
The PPCBank CSS Debit Card allows for transactions in KHR and USD, with customers able to use their card at any other CSS bank POS/ATM to pay for goods and services, make cash withdrawals, obtain account statements and balance enquiries, as well as handle fund transfers.
PPCBank President, Mr. LEE Jin Young, said the launch of the Bank’s CSS Debit Card was in line with ongoing efforts to provide more options for customers, so as to make banking as easy and convenient as possible. “The new CSS card gives our customers access to perform many types of interbank transactions more swiftly via POS terminals and ATMs of participating banks and micro-finance institutions nationwide,” he said. “We have made sure that our PPCBank CSS Debit Card has tactile marks for easy use and identification. Customers can easily apply for the card at their nearest branch and have it delivered immediately upon application,” he added.
The PPCBank CSS Debit Card can be used nationwide, wherever customers see the CSS logo. Any time a cardholder performs a transaction or cash withdrawal, the amount will be deducted directly from the cardholder’s linked account. The CSS Debit Card has all the features and security enhancements of a regular Debit Card, including cardholder name, card number, expiration date and Security Code. The Card carries no fees when used at PPCBank ATMs or POS terminals, attracting only minimal fees when used at the ATMs or POS terminals of other participating banks and MFIs. When the Card expires, a new card is issued for free.
In response to the desires of its customers, PPCBank has launched its CSS Debit Card with three unique color options. The color can be selected when applying for the Card. The new Card can be loaded with up to $10,000 as a daily purchase limit and up to $3,000 for cash withdrawals and fund transfers.
