Officer, Risk Management (In charge Operational Risk)

Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Policy and Guidelines

    • Assist in developing, revising or updating policies and relevant guidelines and submit to the Manager for the review and approval.

    • Facilitate/work with business units in identifying, developing, or revising Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), thresholds, ratings and proposing to the Manager for the review and approval.

    • Keep abreast and participate in reviewing of latest risk management techniques and industry standards and practices for the development, amendment and updating.

  • 2. Implementing, Monitoring and Reporting

    • Facilitate/work with business units on KRI, RCSA, Loss Event, New Product and Service Risk Assessment in analyzing and validating the identified risks, proposing the additional controls and measurement to mitigate the risk, and producing the reports and submitting to the Manager for the review and approval.

    • Follow-up and monitor the progress of actions taken responding to the result of identified risk and submit the reports to the Manager for review and approval.

    • Regularly monitor and promptly report for any breach or any non-compliance which result in risk implications and propose for further action taken to the Manager.

    • Prepare and submit regular reports to the Manager for the review and approval.

  • 3. Trainings

    • Assist to prepare/update training materials and propose for the training’s schedule/plan to the Manager for the review and approval.

    • Conduct the scheduled/ad-hoc trainings to branches and departments.

  • 4. Planning

    • Prepare, review and update the semi-annual risk management plan and submit to the Manager for the review and approval

  • 5. Other Responsibilities

    • Attend external/internal meetings as assigned by the Manager, prepare and submit the minutes to the Manager for review and approval.

    • Assist the Manager in preparing relevant materials and agenda for quarterly risk committee meetings, Board of Directors and/or other relevant meetings.

    • Other tasks as assigned by the Manager

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management/Law/Banking/Finance or any other relevant area

  • Strong understanding related banking laws/regulations in areas of Payment and Technology and New NBC Initiative Projects is a plus

  • At least 1-2 year working experiences related areas such as Business and Data Analyst or Product Development or Partnership & Alliance

  • Good Communication and Negotiation Skills

  • Strong in commitment, leadership and organizational skill and independence

  • Computer literacy Ms. Office, Word, Excel, Power-Point and Internet/Email etc
